We've been digging through our archives, blowing dust off old prints from the 30's and 40's, and scanning these photographs onto our web site. Here are the first eleven.
You like photographs, and we've got piles of yellowing prints from the 20's, 30's, and 40's stacked in file cabinets around the office here at 2 Park Avenue. They're not doing you any good collecting dust, so we've decided to scan them and make them public online.
These eleven photos were all taken between 1931 and 1958. Many of them aren't labeled. And many of those that are had their info written out in faded pencil on their backs. Some feature rather cryptic captions (who was Hen Magoon, anyway?). But each is a story unto itself.
We'll be publishing a number of these classic photo galleries over the course of the year. Perhaps as frequently as once each week. So check back often. And let us know if you enjoy these photos! Send any comments to:
