Highlights Education Krebs earned her BS in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Experience Krebs started working for Outdoor Life as an intern in 2012. Since joining the editorial staff full-time in 2014, she has traveled the country reporting on hunting and conservation issues. She’s covered everything from the R3 crisis and hunter mentoring to in-depth investigative pieces like the proposed mine near Minnesota’s BWCA Wilderness and the duck hunters who were murdered on Tennessee’s Reelfoot Lake. Invasive species fascinate her. She’s also pitched in on social media, digital photography, and video editing for OL. From 2018 to 2020, Krebs pulled double-duty as Senior Editor for OL’s sister publication, Field & Stream. In 2020, she received the ASME NEXT Award, which recognizes promising journalists under 30. Words of Wisdom Figuring things out yourself is essential to hunting, fishing, reporting—you name it. But if you don’t know something, just remember: It won’t kill you to ask someone who does.
