Finding the best gifts for hunters is no easy task. In fact, most dedicated hunters probably already have all the equipment they need. But that doesn’t mean they don’t want more gear, because hunters always want more gear. You just need to know what to buy.

If you don’t hunt yourself, it can be difficult to know what gear is useful for hunters. But you can’t go wrong if you ask these questions: What do they hunt for? Where and when do they hunt? How many days do they spend in the field? These factors contribute to what kind of gear they use. To help save you some time and ensure your purchase doesn't end up in the corner of the garage, we’ve put together this list of the best hunting gifts.

Yeti Loadout GoBox 60 Gear Case

The LoadOut 60 box is the perfect accessory for a duck boat, especially in the Wetlands color pattern. It is fully waterproof and extremely durable. I keep my safety equipment, such as flares, tools, a first aid kit, extra plugs, and rope, in mine. Everything stays organized, but more importantly, everything stays dry. I also like the divider and tray that comes with the box. It helps me keep my gear organized, and I still have enough room for extra shells, decoy line, calls, and decoy anchors. The LoadOut GoBox also comes in two other sizes—15 and 30—that are perfect for storing any kind of gear like reels, tools, and accessories.

Sitka Fanatic Bibs

The Fanatic bibs are made with three layers—fleece, Gore-Tex, and Primaloft insulation—to keep you nice and cozy in even the coldest, windiest conditions. And for as comfortable as they are, they're also super quiet and easy to get on and off. Plus, you can snag them in Sitka's new camo pattern, Optifade Cover, which is perfect for those greener seasons.

Maven CS.1 Spotting Scope

Backcountry hunts require good optics and the Maven CS.1A combines excellent glass with a lightweight construction at a reasonable price. The CS.1 is built with extra-low dispersion ED Glass to offer a clear image and features a 15-45x magnification range with a 65mm objective lens for long-range performance. It is built from a lightweight magnesium and aluminum frame, making it easy to pack and carry in the field. The CS.1 fits perfectly into the front pocket of my Stone Glacier Sky 5900 and mounts easily on my Tricer tripod.

Nomad Spire Half Zip Hoodie

This product was included in a partnership with Nomad.

The ultimate technical midlayer, Nomand's new Spire 1/2 Zip Hoodie delivers exceptional warmth in a lightweight fleece package. The grid pattern and lofty fleece create pockets that trap heat in without needing bulk. Added stretch and 1/2 zip allow you to move and customize your breathability. And DWR treatment means you won't go scrambling for rain gear on misty mornings. From early bow until layered up in late season, the Spire 1/2 Zip Hoodie punches way above it's weight.

Moultrie Edge 3 Cellular Trail Camera

The Moultrie Mobile Edge 3 took home the Best Value award in our 2025 Cellular Trail Camera test. Our trail cam tester, Jace Bauserman, also referred to it as "the easiest cam to set up." All you have to do is download the Moultrie App, scan the camera's code, and follow the simple instructions to be up and running. The Edge 3 has excellent battery life and a new GPS feature to make sure you never forget where you put it. A new Edge 3 with a free 3-month onX Hunt Elite membership goes for $99 at Bass Pro Shops.

Field & Stream Epoch Lightweight Twill Jacket

I might be a little biased, but this recently released shirt-jac from Field & Stream is amazing. It is durable, comfortable, and features a classic vintage camo design. And in case you don't know, vintage camo is cool again. But the best part about the shirt-jac is that it does just as well in the woods as it does around town. I wear mine everywhere, and I haven't met another hunter yet who doesn't love it.

Benchmade Raghorn Hunting Knife

No list of the best gifts for hunters would be complete without a big game hunting knife, which needs to be strong, sharp, durable, and lightweight. The Benchmade Raghorn has all those qualities, plus a hi-vis orange Cerakote finish on the blade. When I took this knife out of the box, I held it up to a piece of paper and cut it like butter. This knife is sharp! The lightweight design makes this the ideal backcountry big game hunting knife.

Stone Glacier Sky 5900 Pack

If they don't yet have a Stone Glacier pack in their closet, now is the perfect time to make that happen. We—and thousands of other hunters—love Stone Glacier hunting packs for a lot of reasons: they're lightweight, durable, easy to customize, and feature a unique load shelf for packing out meat. The Sky 5900 is rated for 150+ pounds (yet weighs just over 2 pounds) and features numerous pockets for organization. It can also expand from 4,300 to 8,000 cubic inches of interior storage space, making it as good for day hunts as it is for overnight backcountry expeditions.

Sitka Duck Oven Hoodie

The Sitka Duck Oven hoody is my favorite piece of hunting clothing. I waterfowl hunt from the first day of October to the last day of January, and I wear this hoodie on almost every hunt. It can handle warmer mornings in the early season, and by the time the snow rolls around, it serves as my most important layer. It is the most versatile layer I own. I can’t recommend this hoodie enough to fellow waterfowls.

Field & Stream Membership

As cliché as it may sound, a Field & Stream membership is the gift that will just keep on giving. Not only will they receive the new print journal delivered to their doorstep twice a year, but they'll also gain access to a wealth of digital content, early notification of new products and launches, exclusive discounts on top hunting brands, and much more.

Duck Camp Mallard Hat

The game series hats from Duck Camp are some of the most stylish lids I’ve ever worn. The mallard hat is my favorite simply because I love ducks. You can choose from an array of game and fish species to fit whatever your hunter loves to chase. I know this is a hunting gift guide, but my new brown trout hat has quickly become my go-to on the river. The designs are stylish with a vintage look, and they are pretty darn comfortable.

Garmin GPSMAP H1i Plus Handheld

Safety is first. That’s why I've always carried a Garmin device with inReach capabilities. But Garmin's H1i Plus takes backcountry communication to a whole new level. This handheld device includes all the features of a traditional Garmin, like inReach messaging, GPS mapping, and SOS signaling, but now users can also send photos and voice messages, download satellite imagery, and more. It has a great battery life and is the best way to stay in touch with your loved ones in the backcountry. Users will need to pay for a monthly subscription service. You can learn more about the plans and features on the Garmin website.

Apex Ammunition Mossy Oak Shadow Habitat Blend

The Apex Mossy Oak Shadow Habitat Blend hits hard. These stacked nontoxic shells feature a blend of 1-1/16oz #3 steel over 1/4oz #8 TSS. The included tungsten super shot increases pattern density and crushes birds. I’ve been hunting with these loads this fall and am extremely impressed with how hard they hit. Birds just seem to fold, and my cripple percentage has gone way down since shooting this blend. Hunters can buy a box of Apex Mossy Oak Shadow Habitat Blend for $55 or a 250-round case for $490. And if you’re looking for a cheaper, high-quality steel load, I recommend Apex S3-Steel.

MSR WindBurner Personal Stove

Backcountry hunting requires you to live out of your pack for multiple days. This means freeze-dried meals and as little weight as possible. The MSR Windburner stove is perfect for hunters heading into the mountains on extended adventures. It features a windproof radiant burner that operates efficiently in less-than-ideal conditions, achieving a fast boil rate. This is what I bring on all of my backcountry hunts.

Yeti Panga Duffel

The Yeti Panga duffel is completely waterproof. How do I know? Well, I accidentally left my panga outside my tent during a rainstorm on a hunt in Southern Idaho. Everything inside was bone dry in the morning. The panga comes in three sizes and three colors.

BioLite Range 500 Headlamp

Every hunter needs a good headlamp, and the new Range 500 from BioLite is one of the best on the market. I've been wearing it all fall and it hasn't let me down yet. It features five light modes and can operate continuously for up to 6 hours at high power or up to 20 hours at low power. The Range is super lightweight and easy to use. And if your hunter is anything like me, they can never have too many headlamps.

Nemo Tensor All-Season Sleeping Pad

I upgraded my backcountry sleeping system this season to include the Nemo Tensor All-Season pad. It is lightweight, durable, and warm. I just returned from an eight-day elk hunt, and this pad kept me comfortable every night. It has an R-value of 5.4, which means you can take this pad on early-season archery hunts all the way to November rifle season. It weighs 1 pound, 2 ounces packed, and doesn't take up much space. If the hunter in your life complains about sleeping in the backcountry, this pad might just be the perfect gift.

Rocky Talkie Mountain Radio

I never considered carrying a walkie-talkie in the woods because I didn't want my buddy radioing me while I was in range of an animal. But as long as you remember to shut it off when it's time to make a stalk, these radios are excellent safety tools. My hunting partner and I each carried one on our high-country archery mule deer hunt and on our elk hunt. It offers another mode of communication if you don't have service and your inReach dies. Rocky Talkie also offers a high-vis hunter's orange model that I carry in my duck boat on the East Coast. This allows me to communicate with other boats in my party and easily make a rescue call if things go bad. Plus, they are great to carry outside of hunting season anytime you head into the mountains for an adventure.

Craft Holster Leather Belt Holster

I carry a sidearm on most of my backcountry hunts, and a great holster is crucial. This archery season, I switched to Craft Holster's Leather Belt Holster to carry my Glock 19. It is comfortable, fits perfectly on my belt, and safely secures the gun on my hip. Plus, it's one of the best-looking holsters I've ever seen. Handcrafted in Europe, Craft Holster makes leather holsters that fit over 80 different brands and countless models. You can choose between black and mahogany leather and the company offers a number of different carry designs. I love the classic look of the mahogany leather, and it was comfortable to carry around the mountains for six straight days. The leather is a little stiff out of the box, but it doesn't take long to break in. This holster will cost you $120, but most come in around the hundred-dollar mark. Plus, the company offers several accessories that will also make for great gifts.
